Raw data: /data/ai-traffic.json. A visit counts as AI traffic when the page referral (document.referrer) comes from a curated list of AI domains (chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, perplexity.ai, gemini.google.com, copilot.microsoft.com, copilot.com, claude.ai, you.com, phind.com, grok.com, x.ai, deepseek.com, mistral.ai, meta.ai) or when the link carries an AI service's utm_source, for exampleutm_source=chatgpt.com. This also covers links copied from an AI answer and shared on, as long as the utm_source comes along. Each visit session is counted at most once. AI services that send neither a referrer nor a utm tag are not counted.

Series break: the new count also includes visits identified only byutm_source, and the list covers Copilot (copilot.com), Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral and Meta AI. Before, only the page referral counted. ChatGPT often sends onlyutm_source, so the number of AI visits is higher under the new count without the traffic itself having grown as much. The start date of the new count is read from the data.
