Report an error
If you find incorrect data, a calculation error or a technical problem on Skolkoll — choose the option that suits you. We review incoming corrections continuously and prioritise errors that can affect school choice, rankings or factual information about a school.
Include this in the report
- School or page — link, school unit code or page name.
- Type of issue — incorrect data, calculation error, technical error or improvement suggestion.
- Description — what appears wrong and what should be checked?
- Source/link — if you have an authority source or another verifiable reference.
- Contact — optional, only if you want a reply.
Categories
- Incorrect data — e.g. wrong merit score, wrong municipality or wrong school type for a specific school.
- Calculation errors — e.g. SALSA score is wrong, percentages are calculated incorrectly.
- Technical errors — e.g. the page won't load, broken layout, 404 page.
- Suggestions and improvements — ideas for new features, missing data sources or UX improvements.
Are you a provider and your preschool or school is missing?
This is almost always because the records in the central registers (SCB, Bolagsverket) are incomplete — something you can fix yourselves so that you appear in every national service, not only Skolkoll. See the guide for school providers for step-by-step instructions.
Risk-based prioritisation
Skolkoll uses internal triage in the first version. There is no public handling guarantee or public case status, but errors that may affect school choice, rankings, scores or sensitive school claims are prioritised first.
| Priority | Typical cases | Handling |
|---|---|---|
| High | Errors that may affect school choice, rankings/scores or sensitive information about safety, support, supervision or future signals. | Corrected, marked uncertain or unpublished before the information is used in sensitive claims. |
| Normal | Factual errors on school profiles, source labels, data files or method references. | Investigated and corrected in the next reasonable publication or data-sync cycle. |
| Low | Improvement ideas, requested new fields, additions and new data sources. | Collected as improvement input and prioritised after higher-risk cases. |
How corrections are made
- Investigation — The reported error is verified against the data source and/or calculation logic.
- Correction — The error is fixed in the data source, calculation logic or site.
- Publication — The correction is published and documented in the changelog.
- Feedback — If the reporter left contact details, we may follow up when the case has been assessed or resolved.
Transparency
- All publicly relevant corrections are documented in the changelog.
- Public correction summaries do not include reporter contact details and may be edited to remove sensitive details.
- The number of received and resolved corrections per year is reported as a KPI.
