About the statistics

• The figures describe Kiruna municipality as a whole, not individual schools.
• Statistics year 2025. KB's current survey was first carried out in 2025, with reference year 2024. Staffing was measured differently in 2024; only total staffing can be compared between years, using KB's revised figures.
• The municipality has 2 school libraries on school units. An average over so few libraries is close to individual schools' figures, so it is not compared with the national figure.
• KB asks no staffing questions about school libraries run by a contractor. They are therefore not part of the number of staffed libraries, the share of pupils with staffing or the staff hours.
• Collections: about a quarter of libraries did not answer KB's collection survey, and KB does not adjust for it. The average may rest on few libraries.
• "Any form of staffing" says nothing about how many hours the library is staffed.
