Higher education link
Throughput per higher education institution and labour market establishment after graduation. How quickly do students graduate and what happens afterwards?
About the data
Data is sourced from the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKA) and Statistics Sweden (SCB). Throughput measures the share of students who graduate within the expected study period. The establishment rate shows the share of graduates who hold a position matching their education level 1-3 years after graduation.
Data: UKA (throughput) and SCB (labour market). Updated annually.
Institutions
Data is being synchronised for the first time. Higher education data will be available after the next sync.
Connection to upper secondary data
By combining higher education throughput data with upper secondary school results, you can trace the education chain: which upper secondary programmes lead to successful higher education studies, and which institutions have the best throughput?
- Upper secondary programmes with a high share of university-eligible students can be compared with actual throughput
- Municipalities with high outward migration to university cities can be identified
- Labour market establishment provides perspective on the long-term value of upper secondary programmes
