Skolväsendets överklagandenämnd (the School Appeals Board) is the body that reviews appeals of certain decisions under the Education Act. Students and guardians can turn to this board if they consider that the school has made an incorrect decision.

- Action programmes (or decisions not to establish one)
- School placement
- Placement in a special teaching group
- Adapted study plan
- Suspension and temporary relocation
