Sameskolstyrelsen (the Sámi School Board) is a government agency responsible for the Sámi school and integrated Sámi education. The agency is based in Jokkmokk and reports to the Ministry of Education.
Mission
The Sámi School Board operates the five Sámi schools in northern Sweden and is responsible for preserving and developing the Sámi language and culture within education. The agency collaborates with the National Agency for Education (Skolverket) on curricula and national tests.
