The national price list (riksprislistan) is published annually by the National Agency for Education and specifies the amount the home municipality must pay for pupils attending upper secondary school in another municipality or with an independent school provider. The amount varies per upper secondary programme.
Use
The national price list serves as the basis for inter-municipal compensation. Programmes with the highest costs are often those with expensive equipment — agriculture, vehicle and transport, restaurant. Academic programmes have lower amounts.
