Rektorsprogrammet (the National Principal Training Programme) is a government-funded training programme that all newly appointed principals must complete within two years of taking office. The programme is delivered by five universities on behalf of the National Agency for Education and spans three years.

Content

The programme covers education law, exercise of public authority, pedagogical leadership, and systematic quality assurance. The training is carried out alongside the principal's regular duties and combines theory with practical application.
