Practice-based research (Praxisnära forskning)

Research conducted close to school practice, often in collaboration between researchers and practising teachers.

Practice-based research (praxisnära forskning) is conducted in close collaboration with schools and addresses questions relevant to day-to-day teaching. Researchers and teachers often work together in so-called ULF agreements (Education, Learning, Research).

Significance

Practice-based research aims to bridge the gap between academic research and the reality of schools. Results should be directly useful for teachers and school leaders. The National Agency for Education and the Swedish Research Council fund projects in this area.
