NPF — Neurodevelopmental conditions

Umbrella term for ADHD, autism, Tourette's, and similar conditions that affect cognition and behaviour.

NPF (neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar, neurodevelopmental conditions) is an umbrella term for conditions such as ADHD, autism, Tourette's syndrome, and similar diagnoses. NPF affects attention, impulse control, social interaction, and flexibility, among other things.

School and NPF

Pupils with NPF often need additional adjustments or special support. Common adjustments include a structured schedule, clear instructions, an adapted environment, and extra time. Increased knowledge about NPF among teachers is an important success factor.
