Lärarlönelyftet (the teacher salary boost) is a government grant that provides salary supplements to teachers who through their teaching improve students' study results or have otherwise contributed to developing instruction. The supplement is up to SEK 5,000 per month.
Purpose
The purpose is to make the teaching profession more attractive and reward skilled teachers. The school provider decides which teachers are eligible. Lärarlönelyftet has reached tens of thousands of teachers since its launch in 2016.
