The basic amount (grundbelopp) is the base funding that each pupil generates for their school. It should cover instruction, premises, meals, student health services, and administration. The supplementary amount (tilläggsbelopp) is an additional sum for pupils with extensive support needs that go beyond what the basic amount covers.
Supplementary amount
The supplementary amount is applied for by the school from the home municipality and assessed on an individual basis. It may apply to, for example, pupils with disabilities who need a personal assistant, specialised learning materials, or other extensive interventions.
