Classroom order (Arbetsro)

Synonymous with studiero — a calm and focused learning environment in the classroom.

Arbetsro (or studiero) refers to a learning environment where students can work in a focused manner without being disturbed by disorder, talking, or other disruptions. Classroom order is a prerequisite for effective learning.

Statistics

In PISA 2022, Swedish students reported better classroom order than in previous rounds, but still worse than the average in Nordic countries like Finland and Denmark. Classroom order is a recurring theme in the Schools Inspectorate's reviews.
